This large bamboo basket vase is traditional Japanese basketry from the Shōwa period (1926-1989), made of green patina bamboo with a dark otoshi. Sensitive and delicate, this Japanese piece is a fine celebration of ikebana, "the art of bringing flowers to life". It is in good condition despite a few dings and light stains.
