Sophie Stripes is an earthenware candleholder made by Portuguese artisans and hand-painted by the French artist Laetitia Rouget in her workshop in Portugal. From her studio, she handcrafts "with love and naughtiness", creations that celebrate everything from the naivety of nature to the sensuality of the human body, and are designed to trigger laughter, conversation and joy. Her tableware is whimsical, often with flippant phrases and smile-inducing inscriptions, while her clothing and textile designs have a very artistic approach, invoking free and uninhibited forms.
