Microscopic details, pharaonic creativity. The creator Héloïse Rival imagines vide-poches, mirrors and frames in bas-reliefs which are situated between the useful and the sublime, narration and ornamentation, confronting the antique and the present with extreme finesse.
A National Superior School of LACAMBRE Graduate in printed image, Héloïse Rival started working as a self-taught artist in 2018 when she spontaneously turned to mural ceramics in the context of a group exhibition at Everyday Gallery in Brussels, where she rethinks the idea of the work frame.
Since then, she is represented by several galleries in Brussels, Antwerp, and Paris through this medium that she embellishes with sensitivity and singularity. Her work mixes both the beautiful and the utilitarian through a mixture of ceramics, bas-relief, and paintings with mystical inspirations such as the divinatory tarot. Always studded with stories and narrated scenes, her work shows-off ceramics with an offbeat style, between utopia and phantasmagoria.
