From tubular resin door handles to lacquered staircase-shaped shelves, there is only one name: Sabourin Costes. From Paris, designers Paola Sabourin and Zoé Costes imagine objects and interiors always guided by curiosity and materiality.
Founded in 2019, the duo creates both objects and interiors that challenge the relationship gained with living environments and always start from an isolated observation of the physical world.
Sabourin Costes' touch is always vibrant with color, experimental and decidedly bold: a material with fascinating reflective properties, a new way of forming resin or a detail as small as a cabinet handle... With a holistic approach, Sabourin Costes moves away from traditional manufacturing processes to explore new creative techniques and make surprising discoveries.
In 2020, they released their first self-published work in 2020, "Boudins," a study of resin and its complex relationship between transparency and its modeling processes. This series embodies the studio's intention to create functional objects that surprise, that stand out for their meticulous research of form and color.
