Heaps & Woods was founded by Louis, an entrepreneur, and Marta, an interior designer, both based in Madrid. When they met in Bali, he was studying Indonesian carpentry techniques and she was traveling to Indonesia to experience the spiritual culture and natural beauty of the Balinese island. The couple quickly bonded, turning a personal relationship into an ambitious business venture. They share a common desire: create pieces that merge traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design.

Heaps & Woods is a project born out of a shared love of iconic design and a desire to produce beautiful, sustainable furniture. Timeless, each of their creations are carved, woven or made from a delicate and virtuous material library: rattan, recycled paper rope, recycled wood and teak wood, sourced in Indonesia.
